Every year, 8th Grade students participate in the Diocesan History Fair, which is held at Nolan Catholic High School, usually in December. Any topic that is historical in nature can be entered in the Fair.  Entries may be focused on an individual, place, or event, and are not limited to Texas, American, or local history. 

Projects may take one of many forms or a combination of forms, such as displays, maps, mock newspapers, etc.

Judging Criteria for Projects is based on:

• Creativity: The project will be judged for creativity and originality of subject matter and presentation.
• Historical Accuracy: The student should demonstrate that appropriate research was done to insure historical accuracy.
• Skill: The student should possess all of the skill necessary to complete the project with limited adult supervision.
• Clarity: The subject and/or purpose of the project should be clear and easy to understand.
• Neatness: The project should be neat and attractive. Any written material should have correct grammar and spelling.
